The Election Commission held assembly elections in 4 states and one Union Territory of the country during the Corona period. The polling for the assembly election 2021, which began on March 27, went through different phases and concluded on April 29. The results of the assembly elections held in four states and one union territory of the country will be declared on Sunday, May 2. The results of the exit poll also came after the eighth phase of voting in Bengal on April 29, before the election results came. In the West Bengal Assembly elections, votes were cast in 8 phases on 292 seats out of a total of 294. 

West Bengal had polling for the first phase on 27 March, the second phase on 1 April, the third phase on 6 April, the fourth phase on 10 April, the fifth phase on 17 April, the sixth phase on 22 April, the seventh phase on 26 April and On April 29, the eighth phase of voting was held. Now on May 2, the results of the Bengal elections will also be revealed. The results of the exit poll came after the eighth and last phase of voting on April 29, before the results, in which Mamata Banerjee's party Trinamool Congress is seen forming the government in West Bengal for the third consecutive time.
